Bad Credit?

We know that some customers applying for car finance may have a low credit rating for various reasons, and often it is through no fault of their own. We also understand that, regardless of your credit history, you may still be able to afford the monthly repayments on a car loan.

That is why we look at your current circumstances and your ability to make repayments on a car loan. We have accepted many customers in the past who have been declined for car finance elsewhere.

Pre-approved Funding

Many of our customers choose to arrange their funding with us by phone or email before they come to visit us. That way, you can, in many cases, drive your new car away the same day you view it.

Finance Information and Regulatory Disclosure

Docklands Motor Co Ltd is trading as a credit broker and not a lender, and is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, firm reference number 653482. We can introduce you to a limited number of lenders while providing details of finance products available.

We will not charge you a fee for an introduction, but will typically receive a commission from the lender. Lenders' commissions may vary. We will either receive a fixed fee or a percentage of the amount you borrow. The commission received does not influence the interest rate you will pay. For questions about commission, please speak to us.

Complaints

There are several ways to make a complaint. You can contact us by phone or face to face, or you can send your enquiry to us in a letter or an email to [email protected].

Upon receipt, we will refer your complaint to the individual or department best equipped to respond to it.

Your complaint will be thoroughly investigated, and we will provide you with the outcome of our investigation as soon as possible. Please allow 7–10 working days for a formal written response. Where appropriate, you will receive details of any proposed action to resolve the reported issues and, if necessary, an apology.

If you are not happy with our response and you are an eligible complainant, you can escalate your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. You must do so within six months of the date of the final response letter.
