The salesman said everything is fine with the car and it seemed ok apart from the brake’s rubbing which I thought it was just because the car was sitting on the car park. I did think it would be fine but a week later the brakes were still noisy and getting worse so I decided to get them checked out and the back at the local garage and they were down to the metal on the back so I called them at Docklands motor company and said about the brakes they replied and said because I bought the car as trade for my taxi company and they given me a discount. I was told they would not help me with the cost of the back brakes and discs and the car had a HPI check before. Not happy with their reply would not go back. Make sure you check your car before buying.

Hi, Thank you for your review. We appreciate all feedback. However, we believe you left out a few important details that should have been included in your review. The vehicle was priced at £19,950. All our vehicles come with a 12 months MOT, Service, Warranty and a PDI Check. Any work that is required on the vehicle is carried out before collection. You mentioned you will need the vehicle to be used as a TAXI and therefore wanted the vehicle at a trade price. A trade price would mean the vehicle would be taken as it is at a discounted price and none of the above services provided. This was clearly explained to you and a waiver signed by yourself agreeing to this. We initially agreed a price of £19,500 over the phone but after you had viewed the vehicle, you wanted a further discount of another £500. We agreed at £19,000 and you would take the vehicle as it is (trade sale). After giving you a discount of almost a £1000, it would be unfair of you to extort more money from us to help with the cost of your TAXI preparation work. We did offer to reinstate all the services we would usually provide to our customers if the discount given to you of £950 was paid back to us. However you declined and was adamant on us reimbursing you for the brakes. Our offer of the above still stands, if you would like to get in contact with us. We don't think we have done anything wrong in this situation, and believe you are wrong in trying to poach more money out of a small business who work tirelessly to provide a great customer service especially in the current economic climate.
